Just before Eid, Glam X Cosmetics released their newest eyeshadow palette- the Strawberry Frappe palette, a palette consisting of this summer’s trendiest shades, from bright oranges to juicy fuchsias. I’ve reviewed Glam X Cosmetics before (you can read my past review here), but I wanted to share my thoughts on this palette as well as their newer products, such as the Goddess Glow Highlighter and new lipstick shades.
Compared to the Bourgeoisie palette that I already own, this palette has both matte, satin and foiled shades. I like that the bottom row is just matte shades, so they are easy to locate when creating a look. The palette has 35 pans, about the size of a Morphe Brushes palette and costs RM180.
Above are swatches of the bottom row of matte shades. The first two shades are a bit sheer, but are enough to use as a base or transition colour. The mattes blend very well, and although the black shade doesn’t look pigmented when swatched here, it is actually very deep and blendable on the eye. Overall, the mattes are great colours that can be used as a good foundation for any warm-toned eye look.
I didn’t swatch all the other shades, but here are a few of my favourites, plus a few to show the diverse range of colours this palette has. My favourite shades are the fuchsia shade 3rd from the left and the tangerine one 5th from the left, as I think they could be dupes for Fenty Beauty’s Mimosa Sunrise and Sangria Sunset which I recently wrote a review on. There are also a few brow bone highlight shades, as well as some golds and bronzes if you want a more neutral look.
Above is the Sunkissed Goddess Glow highlighter in the shade ‘Malibu‘ (RM89). The packaging is very light (which i’m not a fan of) but the design on the highlighter itself is so pretty!
The shade itself is a champagne gold, which would suit light to medium skintones. There is also another shade made for deeper skintones, called ‘Cairo’. The highlighter itself has a more natural finish, and although I prefer a really blinding highlight, it actually looks beautiful on the skin and gives you a healthy and radiant glow.
Now onto the lips. Glam X Cosmetics’ lipsticks are one of my favourite matte liquid lip formulas! Their shade ‘Chestnut‘ is one of my go-to favourite nude shades and lasts for hours on the lips. I decided to buy their ‘Love Rosie lip bundle’ which includes Chestnut and 3 new lip shades in ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy‘ (a barbie bright pink), ‘Persian Plum‘ (a fuchsia-plum) and ‘Rose Valet‘ (a muted brown-rose). Out of the new shades, I loooove Persian Plum as it really compliments my skin tone and looks really smooth on the lips.
Here is a festival look I did using all the products featured in this post. The face tattoos are ones from the Rimmel London X Love Island collection that I received in an Influenster VoxBox.
I’m really proud of how this look turned out-it’s definitely not something I’ve done before!
