So I decided to buy some products I wouldn’t be able to get in the UK, and I’ve been hearing a lot about Bite Beauty and their lip products. I was particularly interested in their Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick as Sophia, who I follow on Instagram is a big fan of them, and she always looks great wearing them!
Bite Beauty is a Canadian brand that uses organic, food-grade ingredients that does not contain gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals. Their Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick has monoi butter and coconut oil in it, which they claims makes it creamy with a satin finish.
The formula reminds me of a thick gloss on application, and the applicator it comes with does a good job of applying the thick formula on evenly. It is super moisturising, and I really enjoy the unique formula. Although it initially looks very glossy, it dries the longer you wear it to become a satin-finish lipstick. Although it’s not as long-wearing as a matte liquid lip, it is very pigmented and the colour does last pretty much all day.
I got three shades- (from top to bottom) Jicama, Chutney and Braised. Jicama is a warm-toned terracotta nude, whilst Chutney is a cool-toned mauve and Braised is a cherry red. I really like the shades I chose, but I would recommend using a lip liner with Braised just to make sure it doesn’t bleed as reds do. Bite Beauty has a really large shade range when it comes to their liquified lipsticks, from nudes to deep purples, and I think its cute that they are all have food-related names!
Here are some lip swatches. I think Jicama (top left) is my favourite shade! I would definitely recommend these if you want a moisturising yet long-lasting lipstick. I was really pleasantly surprised by how pigmented the formula is, as I only need one dip into the tube to cover my lips completely.
